Marsh Farm caravan site

Marsh Farm site is located at the point where the river Kent turns tidal. A private footpath links to the estuary bank and offers the opportunity to view the birds and wild life it attracts.

The river Kent is the fastest flowing river in England and rapidly cascades from its source, in Kentmere through the historic town of Kendal out to Morecambe bay at Arnside

The site is surrounded by open countryside and wading birds such as Oystercatchers and Lapwings are at home here, nesting in the open grasslands.

Explore the river further by taking a walk in nearby Levens park and you can see the Kent at its free flowing best and meet the Baggot goats. Dippers feed freely on the fast flowing water and Sand pipers nest in the deep cut banks.

Out and about there is an abundance of pubs and restaurants serving locally produced foods and ales. Milnthorpe is our main service village. Around 1-½ miles from the site it provides all the services you would expect from a small town and it's only 10 minutes to the historic town of Kendal, known as "The gateway to the Lake District".
